GS 2008 PRIORITY Registrations

As the official start of summer is on the horizon the BMW Safari management team is emerging from its winter hibernation to prepare for the March 2008 BMW GS Safari. So hello there!

The GS PRIORITY Registration Form is provided to all previous Safari participants to ensure that you will receive a confirmed spot on the trip and the first choice of available accommodation. Priority registrations are open from now until they close on 5 September 2007. After this date GS Safari registration is open to all comers….as long as they will be riding a BMW motorcycle with recognized off-road capability and doing the trip solo.

The event will take place in the spectacular Victorian and New South Wales “High Country” from Sunday 2 March to Saturday 8 March. The tracks and trails in this area will provide 6 days of exhilarating riding, and should suit most riders who have off-road riding experience or at the very least have attended one of BMW Motorrad’s off-road riding courses. For those of you who took part in the 2006 Cape York adventure, you definitely won’t be facing the prospect of hundreds of kilometres of sand or your backside being bitten by a crocodile during water crossings!

The ski season is still in full swing up in the Snowies, so we won’t be able to complete our final recce until late November when, hopefully, all the snow will have melted and the seasonally locked gates should be un-padlocked. So when we have successfully checked out our planned routes and accommodation venues we will provide all registered participants with the Accommodation Booking Form – we expect this to happen no later than Friday 14 December.

As usual a full support team will be on hand, including our indefatigable team of BMW Master Techs and the tyre expertise of Rob Turton and crew.

There have been a few new additions to the BMW off-road motorcycle range since August 2006 so we are looking forward to an even more diverse range of bikes and riders for what will be an amazing and very exciting GS Safari experience in March 2008. So don’t “will I or won’t I” …just will, and fill in the form and fax it in NOW!
