Dateline - Wednesday 30 April 2008 TS Safari registrations rolling in

With just over 15 weeks to go until the start of the 2008 TS Safari in sunny Queensland we now have over 200 registered participants with more coming in by the day.

The Accommodation Booking Form is in the final stages of being put together and will be sent or emailed as an attachment to all registered participants. When we have the completed forms back then bookings will be made, with those who registered early being given priority with the choice of available hotels. As usual there will be a range of different accommodation options to choose from at all our overnight stops.

One thing you need to make sure you pack is your swimmers as the one thing you’ll have more opportunity to do than ride your bike is swim! Pools, snorkeling over the reef, scuba diving, waterfalls and a beautiful gorge will all be there to cool you down on your riding adventure through tropical Queensland.

We are also planning an exciting social programme and our office is rocking with the demo tapes we’ve received from auditioning bands for the Welcome and Farewell events. We’re also trying to arrange a lunch-time bbq in the middle of nowhere on one of our ride days… and believe us it is the middle of nowhere! We’re compiling a list of recommended restaurants in those overnight stops where we won’t be feeding you and unfortunately this has meant that we have had to spend quite some time sampling the menus…someone has to do it. You’ll also be getting a suggested list of activities other than riding, for that day off mid-Safari and your final day in the far north.

So if you are registered, expect to see your Accommodation Booking Form in a few weeks and if you aren’t registered… what are you waiting for?! Click here to download the registration form!

Just a note to those who have ordered a 2008 GS Safari DVD we have been advised that the final cut is being viewed and should be approved soon. This means that you should be seeing something in your mailbox looking like a DVD in around 2 weeks. Orders for the DVD through the Safari Office have now closed. Anyone who would still like to order a copy can do so by calling 1800 813 299.

Next update will be at the end of May. Over and out.
